Excellent stay in a great location

The location was central, offering easy access to many attractions (i really appreciated this). the staff were always helpful and friendly. the restaurant had delicious food. I particularly enjoyed the local menu offerings. i found a safe in my room, which gave me extra peace of mind.
the air conditioning unit was a bit noisy at times, however i managed to adjust to it.

the restaurant provides a mix of sri lankan, chinese and european dishes (a great option for varied tastes). breakfast included made-to-order omelets. the in-house restaurant palmyrah is worth visiting for traditional sri lankan food.

my room had plenty of space and modern amenities. there was a comfortable bed and a small desk. the bathroom was clean and functional. wifi worked well throughout my stay.

the hotel features a rooftop terrace with a nice pool. the pool area is very clean (i used it almost every day). the hotel provides drinking water in a metal flask instead of plastic bottles.

the hotel is situated on one of the main streets. a supermarket is right across the street from the hotel. the railway station is a short walk away. it is easy to catch a tuk-tuk nearby.

the breakfast buffet included local fruits and pastries. the rooftop pool provided a refreshing escape with clear water. i saw comfortable sun loungers near the pool, so i could relax. the hotel location enabled easy access to nearby attractions.
the gym equipment showed some wear. it needed a bit of updating.

palmyrah restaurantfriendly staff
The Palmyrah restaurant IS REALLY first class. The food was tasty. Staff throughout the hotel are friendly AND polite. I found Sucharshan at reception to be especially great.
The room i had faced the road and SOME road noise was audible.

the rooftop pool is amazing. the staff were very friendly. i found the location to be quite central.
The minibar was empty, i did not expect this. there was only one towel in my room. i also found only one chair. More seating would have been useful.
